STF 2008-2009

we would like to announce the deadline for the non-European applicants to be on April 30th 2009.

Within 2 weeks after we will be able to tell you whether or not there is space, so you will still have some time to look for alternative programs or activities for this year.

Dear everyone,

Hello and greetings from Frankfurt. Hope your doing well and that heavenly father is blessing you more and more with each passing day.  I’d like to give you a quick update on how the first year STF program is proceeding.  The 18^th of November the first years finished their first fundraising condition and then drove off to London to help support the GPF there.  For four days, from the 19^th to the 22^nd, everyone was very busy supporting different aspects of the GPF, the peace expo, the stage/event management, and welcoming dignitaries in the airports.  Also we were fortunate enough to be able to attend Hoon Dok Hae with Hyun Jin Nim twice. 

As those of you who could participate witnessed, the day of the GPF was an amazing success. The support from the STF members was crucial for the good outcome of the event.  The following two days, on the 23^rd and 24^th, all the first year members then moved to Livingstone house where we held a 2 day fundraising workshop, allowing members to reflect upon their first fundraising condition, and then to prepare themselves for the 2^nd condition.  It was an amazing opportunity for the members to share their experiences with each other and inspire each other to strive for even more in the next condition. 

During the workshop our IW auntie Seija was also present and could talk and share with a few members about their situations and give a parental aspect to the workshop.

Because during the workshop there were 9 fundraising teams present, it is difficult to give a general picture on how people are doing as there is a wide range of situations and developments both internally and externally. 

On the 25^th the teams then departed for their 2^nd fundraising condition, which will lead up to Christmas eve, which they will then meet with their commander groups to spend Christmas day together.  Afterwards all the first years will meet again in Schmitten on the 27^th of December, also the Canadian teams will return then, and afterwards both first and second years will celebrate God’s day together.

Dear Families and Friends,

We would like to inform you that as of today 13^th of August 2008, we will not accept any more applications for the STF Europe Program due to the fact that we have reached our limit for new participants this year.

We would like to thank all of those who have already applied and look forward to seeing you for the upcoming Try-outs, Settlement Age Workshop and Kick-off Workshop.

For those that missed the STF Europe application deadline but would like to dedicate some time for Public Activities please contact our office for other opportunities to do so in the coming year.
